Burtown House
Burtown House is a historic Georgian estate in County Kildare, Ireland, originally built in the 18th century as part of a 2,000-acre estate. Once known as Power’s Grove, it was constructed for Robert Power, High Sheriff of Kildare, and later passed through generations of the Haughton, Wakefield, and Fennell families.
The house features elegant architectural details, including fine plasterwork, a grand staircase, and a bow-fronted dining parlour. Over the centuries, it has been expanded and refined, maintaining its historic charm while adapting to modern use.
Surrounded by lush gardens, parkland, and farmland, Burtown House is known for its beautiful landscapes and artistic heritage. It remains a privately owned estate, deeply connected to Ireland’s Quaker history and cultural traditions.
